Develop numerous graphic design concepts for IU Athletics print, web-based, digital and media projects in consultation with various IU Athletics staff and departments (especially marketing and sales). Works closely with, broadcast services, tickets, concessions, media relations, the IU Varsity Club, and administration. Produces a variety of items such as posters, schedule cards, brochures, flyers, fan guides, advertisements (print, outdoor, web, social media), designs for concession items, ticket designs, etc. Also, integrates print design themes and concepts into various electronic material including the athletics web site, email campaigns, social media, and graphics for outdoor/indoor electronic scoreboards.
Bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, or a related field and two years of experience in graphic design, communications, web development, project management, or marketing.
Strong computer knowledge, including but not limited to graphic design, desktop publishing, web and email development. Experience with the following programs: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, and Quark Xpress. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and complete projects on time without sacrificing quality, while still fulfilling the needs of offices that feel their project is most important. Ability to develop and implement strategies for increased productivity, goal achievement, and effective communication by external operations staff both internally and to external audiences. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and strict deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to instruct others in a positive manner, resolve conflicts, and establish consensus among staff.
