Position Overview: Assist in securing government funds from federal, state, and municipal sources to support Best Buddies in assigned areas under the direction of the Vice President, Government Relations.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Development
- Research federal, state, and municipal government funding for assigned areas
- Serve as point of contact with assigned state staff regarding the preparation of new proposals, monthly reporting, and contract renewals
- Schedule meetings with elected officials and agency staff as needed
- Travel to states to attend meetings with elected officials and agency staff
- Take meeting notes, draft thank-you notes for attending staff, and conduct follow-up
- Assist in preparing presentations to state developmental disabilities councils and state special education advisory committees
- Assist with state/municipal outreach efforts with relevant internal and external contacts, including providing expert advice to staff on procedures and protocol
- Create and/or edit reports for government funds; when necessary, provide meaningful training and feedback to state staff regarding program reports
- Assist the vice president in the coordination of stewardship efforts for key officials
- Issue invitations to relevant government contacts for national and state events
- Additional duties and projects as assigned

- Lead preparation of proposals and applications for assigned grants, including adhering to internal compliance process
