Job Description:
A Regulatory Affairs contractor is needed to support compliance to the USDA's National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Act of 2016, known as the Bioengineered (BE) Labeling Rule, for US Foods including Client and Food and Beverage Client food portfolios.
The contractor will be responsible for collecting supplier documentation and proper record keeping supporting compliance.
They are responsible for maintaining an accurate BE status for all product formulations, assisting in development of updated labels in our ProductVision (PV) system, and assisting with packaging updates as needed.
Regulatory Affairs skills and technical competencies are very niche with a must-have combination of science and compliance expertise.
The contractor must have a food science and/or nutrition background and must be familiar with regulatory guidelines as established in the Code of Federal Regulations and apply that knowledge to ingredients and formulas so that they will be in compliance with US laws, including the BE Labeling Rule. ProductVision (PV) experience is highly preferred.
