ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Works at the direction of the Accounting Manager to coordinate all onsite accounting functions. Serves as a liaison between the Hotel, Ministry to Accounting Department for accounting-related transactions and reports. Oversees other accounting functions as they relate to filing paperwork, accounts payable check runs, and other projects assigned by management. Ensures that all administrative procedures are in place and functioning effectively. Ensures compliance with property policies and procedures and all applicable laws. Ensures that accounting practices adhere to legal requirements and standards including: Preparing and filing of tax and license information returns Providing internal and external auditors with the information they need and implementing their recommendations Establishes and monitors cost and expense control systems and procedures to achieve budget objectives. Assesses and initiates corrective actions to ensure highest possible profitability. Administers and maintains all accounting systems (e.g. payroll, accounting, reservations, POS, etc.). Prepares and finalizes payroll. Monitors, audits, and supports systems to ensure accurate staff records and comply with Federal, State, and local laws.
