Human Resources Specialist

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a contract Human Resources Specialist to join their team in Burlington, NC. This position will function as a generalist in the Human Resources department to coordinate workflow. They will also troubleshoot human resource issues and assist employees in resolving problems. Performs administrative duties as assigned by Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with receiving files from other sites and re-organizing the files at the corporate office

  • Assist with the "AskHR" portal

  • Taking inbound calls on the HR phone line.

  • May assist with collecting/organizing orientation or audit paperwork

  • Assist employee customers with questions, troubleshooting/resolving issues or escalating to the appropriate party who can

  • Majority of customer interaction is in a virtual environment and by phone

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years? experience in Customer Service/HR

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Candidates must be strong in customer service and written/verbal communications

  • Will also work on filing projects and must be able to lift up to 30 pounds

  • Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills

  • Ability to interact with many different individuals and prioritize numerous responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Ideal experience would be customer service focused with exposure to HR

  • Candidate must be computer savvy, an posses a professional demeanor

  • Must possess organizational and time management skills

  • Superior customer services skills in a multi-faceted environment; in writing, via phone, and face to face.

  • Flexibility and the ability to multitask is critical

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
