The Paint Film Assembler is primarily responsible for the installation of Paint Protection Film and other appearance accessories on new vehicles onsite at our Vehicle Processing Center VPC . Installation must conform to vendor, quality specifications and time allowances. An effective Paint Film installation requires the Assembler to thoroughly moisten the film with soapy solution via handheld spray bottle to assist with application. The Assembler will continuously use a squeegee type device, hands and fingers to place stretch the material, remove water, air and fluid bubbles from the product. This role requires the ability to push, pull, and reach a majority of the day. Wet or dried product with defects may require removal from the vehicle. This requires the ability to grasp and pull material off the vehicle. The Assembler is expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able willing to complete all work assigned. Assemblers are expected to cross-train into secondary installation shop skills and work where assigned to support production. Additional shop skills can include electrical/torque related accessory installation shops, pre-delivery function testing and shipping readiness shops, and truck spray-in bed liner accessory application.
