Position Overview:

The Sr. Director of LSG Global Transportation is responsible for the efficient operations of the Transportation function with an emphasis on providing clear vision and direction to the leadership teams, setting the strategy and focus for the network. Creating and maintaining a culture of development and employee engagement, achieving operational metrics that contribute to the company's overall goals and success, and engage key business partners to insure excellent customer service

Essential Functions of Job:

  • Directs and manages all aspects of Transportation related matters for the company with an emphasis on improving overall supply chain efficiencies
  • Responsible for developing, documenting, and executing a comprehensive global transportation strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and profitability
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within company guidelines
  • Drive operational excellence and best practices across the network aimed at reducing costs and improving service
  • Effectively partner with logistics support teams and facilitate the integration of their work into the operation
  • Drive a culture of accountability and employee engagement across all locations and disciplines
  • Effectively manage individual and group performance to set goals and expectations
  • In depth understanding of logistics operations and specifically cold-chain transportation.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 10+ years of supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions, operations experience an asset
  • Ability to create and execute an aligned strategy and vision for the team
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance
  • Strong analytical, financial and P&L skills
  • Ability to transform current business functions into streamlined, sustainable, and efficient processes
  • In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics best practices
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility across organization/engage others to ensure the most effective and efficient logistics solutions for the varied business units
  • • Experience in supply chain technology/processes and ability to evaluate cost effective solutions
  • • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of logistics transportation-related activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in a supply chain-related field preferred and at least 10 years of relevant / related work experience
  • Previous experience in managing a global team
  • Proven ability to effectively lead teams through change and ambiguity
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a value for and participate in professional development and continuous education pertinent to job duties.
  • Demonstrate 4I Values when interacting with others in the workplace.
  • Willingness to travel
