The COMPANY is hiring for an exciting new role, Vice President of Business Affairs, to support COMPANY Films in Mount Laurel, NJ.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance to the COMPANY Films senior leadership team in support of new and continuing projects.   

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the development, oversight and negotiation of agreements related to work produced by COMPANY Films
  • Provide ongoing support to the senior leadership team to devise licensing strategy and negotiate deals necessary to scale COMPANY Films properties licensing
  • Collaborate with COMPANY legal and finance teams and other COMPANY Films senior leadership in negotiation, review and approval of contracts, including but not limited to: television series, documentaries, and other content produced for legacy television, SVOD, AVOD and other content provider partners; talent agreements; and third party licensing agreements 
  • As a member of the senior leadership team, help establish and lead overall direction, strategy and improvement of COMPANY Films
  • Work across COMPANY Media to maximize revenue and audience potential of the COMPANY Films catalog and help manage new and existing licensing and distribution partnerships
  • Work with COMPANY Business Development group on broader deals that contain COMPANY Films interests
  • Performs related duties as required 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field.  A law degree is required.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in legal and  business development, business affairs experience in media or licensing with a focus on TV, Film or Digital production
  • Successfully demonstrated experience negotiating 3rd party licensing and rights agreements
  • Experience and/or passionate interest in sports and intricate knowledge of COMPANY strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and/or passionate interest and knowledge of filmmaking and the production process, emphasis on unscripted content
  • Legal experience constructing and negotiating television and talent contracts

Travel:
